Hi! Welcome to the blog!
I’m Sarah, an Eastern North Carolina portrait and wedding photographer serving the joyful, fun and adventurous! I love Italian food, binge worthy TV shows, my sweet fur babies and french fries!
I believe in sweet romance, from holding hands to dancing in the rain to living life to the fullest. I’m an adventurer, dreamer and traveler who LOVES love! Oh and capturing your sweet memories!
Have you ever heard the saying “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life?” I always believed in just that: finding something I loved so much that it was never truly work.
While I loved this idea, I never knew what my “thing” would be. I always said “I don’t have a thing” and I always desperately wanted one. Then one day I decided *I thought* I wanted to try photography. I still have no idea what prompted that thought, but I knew I wanted to try it. I convinced myself I needed fancy equipment and asked my parents to buy me a $500 camera (with absolutely no experience!) Of course they said no and looking back, I’m so glad they did! If they had handed me this huge expensive camera that I had no idea how to use, I probably would have panicked!
Once I got over the initial heartbreak of them saying no, I saved up to get a smaller, and way cheaper point and shoot camera so I could give photography a try. I still remember the first time I took pictures of another person. I had a friend over one day and randomly said “Hey, this might be weird but can I take some pictures of you?” And she said YES! I haven’t put the camera down since and I have loved every minute of the journey so far.
While there is still so much for me to learn and so many people to serve, I can’t wait to continue the journey.
Through my business, I want to use my faith to inspire people to live purpose filled lives by finding joy in the small moments in life. I want to inspire people to be bold in who they are, to love life and to live it to the fullest. I want to inspire people to step out in the world and be confident in their own skin.
